HAAPANIEMENKATU: PARKLIFE 

This hybrid city block in the center of Helsinki, Filand was designed by Anttinen Oiva Architecs which chose us to develop a set of mandatory and free images for the competition.
This new block will contain housing, retail and Hotel functions but the main issue was the location of the new block. This is a consolidated area of the city: a former industrial area which turned into a lively neighborhood with a unique urban culture. So a natural and recognizable approach was aimed. We worked with site photos from the client, trying to make the building be part of this urban environment. A lot of work was needed to make the original site photos be ready to place the new building on them, but all the set had a wonderful light and color, so it had a lot of potential.
We enjoyed the process although it was a highly demanding one.
