Beauty and The Bit premieres “The Sound of Ink” an Architectural Movie for Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects upcoming Shanghai Library East.

We are happy and proud to air “The Sound of ink”, our brand new Architectural Film.
After close to a decade collaborating with our Long-term strategic partner, we have developed a chemistry and understanding that has led both of us to an artistic growth, bonds of friendship and several achievements unlocked down the road. Endless hours of dedication that have always got their reward.
To mark the six-month countdown to the opening of the new Shanghai Library East, Beauty & the Bit made his artistic reinterpretation of this project.
The short film, entitled “The Sound of Ink” depicts the moment right before the doors open for the first time on the project, located in the Pudong District of Shanghai on the border of the largest park in the city’s heart: Century Park. The strong motivation for this film is trying to imagine the future look and feel of this elegant cultural project and blend it seamlessly with a cinematographic approach.
“This movie is a labor of love” as Director Victor Bonafonte states. It is the fruit of a decade of struggle, experimentation, restless attitude and at the end expertise.
As always our vision is to blur the line between architecture and cinema. And shout out to the world out there that architectural communication is not at odds with a solid creative direction, taste and elegance.
