SHANGHAI PUDONG FOOTBALL STADIUM: INVERTED SKIRT 

This is the Schmidt Hammer Lassen proposal for the Shanghai Pudong Football Stadium where we collaborated in 2016.
The studio came up with the design of a concrete frames system covered by a light bracing façade that depending on the angle had this beautiful shape of inverted skirt. We really enjoyed sketching for this process as the environment had a beautiful forest and river from where the stadium stood as an important icon for the city. However you are looking at an urban shot, where we stand at a wide plaza where we wanted to showcase an after-the-rain view.
