TRYGGHETSBOENDE RESIDENTIAL: PEACE REVISITED 

In this area characterized by a large amount of nature and a valuable architectural housing projects, the Swedish studio UTOPIA designed this housing project.
The houses are targeting people from +65year, but it is far from being a nursing home. Residents here are elderly people that seeks this type of home because of social benefits and extra in-house facilities such as gym, café, hobby room, spaces for social dining, gardening etc.
So, in a way, the program took us to this kind of light and mood setting. We wanted to communicate a peaceful environment, a gathering place where to spend time quietly, surrounded by nature, with the warm sunlight still heating the façades with its ocher tone. No extra people, no artifacts just a centered view with the greenhouse as a core and a gate to a welcoming place.
