ÉCOLE MATERNELLE À MALEVILLE: SCHOOLYARD 

This is a nice École Maternelle designed by our friends at V2S. The site is a lawn extension surrounded by huge trees. It is located on the outskirts of a little village, so the kind of materials and construction is extremely respectful with the entourage and its tradition. As a school for little children, the plot itself has the best playground ever, as this lawn extension is the perfect schoolyard for the village kids. It was essential for the client to portrait how the school takes advantage of its environment and integrates the nice and natural outdoor in the daily activities of the children. So we chose a low point of view, where the richness of the landscape could be naturally perceived. We used the light to show how the surrounding trees create a kind of boundary that works as an exterior wall, giving shelter to this inner secret garden. Simple materials, simple shapes, and simple composition, showing exactly what we were interested in: being a kid on the woods.

An important part our job is being imaginative and this to bring a strong art direction though our images and animations, so we developed this cool set as well along with the hero shot.
