WASTE PLANT SHENZEN: THE SPACESHIP HAS LANDED

We collaborate on this competition with Schmidt Hammer Lassen back in 2015. They designed one of the largest incineration plant in the world which was located in a beautiful landscape area surrounded by mountains.
Any architectural object would look like an UFO when you placed it in there, with no linked context just in the middle of the forest. So this kind of shell construction wasn’t an exception and we decided to enhance that feeling. All the set of visuals we developed for this process were searching to show the very next foreground human scale in opposition to the huge building. At the same time, we tried as well to portrait how the beautiful metal sheet will reflect the environment and try to melt with it, so the visual impact will be strong but kind at a time.
