PALAIS HET LOO MUSEUM: MIRRORING EFFECT
Back in 2016 Kaan Architecten was selected for the competition launched by Palais Het Loo in Apeldoorn, the historical royal Dutch residence from XVII century, to improve and expand the visitors’ facilities. So they let us in to produce this romantic image showcasing this symmetrical and monumental extension of the existing museum.
The former manicured grass central patch was about to be replaced by a water sheet filtering the light to the underground proposal. They need the image to communicate the respect the project had for the existing design and the scene needed as well to have a recognizable mood as this is an historical landscape on the Dutch mind. All these facts drove us to this shot you are looking at right now.
